It seems Richard Gere has already done the damage. Forces of Heterosexualisation is not busy further strengthening their position by making public kisses between man and woman more and more "normal" and thus "acceptable". Preity Zinta has sought the occasion of the win of her team to do something no Indian girl would have dreamt of doing a few years ago. And this means further narrowing of men's spaces.

THE GUYS DON'T WANT IT: Just notice how shy and uncomfortable the guys are at Preity's unwanted show of affection/ enthusiasm. Perhaps, she is using the occasion to get physically close to the guys. And also trying to make the act of such physical/ sexual closeness between men and women acceptable in India.

But just notice how the guys hate it. They're literally blushing. They don't want any of it. But what can they do/ say? Men don't have the voices to say anything to resist this.
