Gurgaon: The Giurgaon Police has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons, once again. This time for not lodging an FIR against the bouncers and the manager of Saffire Pub at JMD Regent Plaza, who allegedly thrashed three persons on Saturday night.
Relatives of the youths, who are still in the hospital gheraoed the police station on Sunday night and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
After the protest, the police recorded the statements of the victims on Monday afternoon. The Assistant Commissioner of Police Summit Khar said the police are investigating the case and would lodge the FIR if the allegations are proved to be correct.
Navin, Sanjeev and Rajiv reached the Saffire Pub on Saturday night and sought an entry. But the three friends were told that entry for only males is barred. This led to a heated argument, after which the pub's bouncers and the manager beat up the youths black and blue. Rajiv and Naveen received serious injuries and were admitted in a private hospital.
The police were informed, but no action was taken against the pub employees. However, the cops moved only after the relatives gheraoed the police station.
